It nearly always creeps up unannounced and with a jarringly expedited immediacy…the abrupt end of summer that is! One moment it is a balmy +25°, the next a seemingly inhumane +5° accompanied by an incessant downpour.

All my featured seasonal blog posts — editorials, style photo journals, outfit inspirations, and cultural style muses — in one convenient and personally reflective package The summer of colour! It is an apt moniker, all matters considered, as I observed — present company included — more gents embracing an unreserved wardrobe palette of outright colourful expression and genteel refinement this past season then in any other that I can seemingly recall —perhaps ever!
A culturally inspired & curated capsule collection of what is sartorially influencing me this month:

Yet another month has swiftly sauntered by and I once again find myself seeking style muses to inspire me sartorially forward. Ergo, this month I revisit a timelessly chic classic film (and personal favourite); look towards a (stylish?) adult reimagining of a childhood television mainstay; pay homage to a rising British (soul) pop star by adopting some classic designs + fabrications from the annals of English style history; recommend an A/W transitional layering jacket; and discover a new online e-retailer + lifestyle destination that has managed to satisfy my seemingly insatiable A/W shopping hunger pangs. So without further adieu, my style muses for September 2015…

When debating matters of obtaining true style, it has become conveniently customary to dispel the notion that having authentic (timeless) gentlemanly style (and decorum) demands more from a man then that of mastering the talent of resembling a billboard of perfected sartorial assemblage — of being stylish in dress alone. This common misconception is understandable, yet very short-sighted and lacking in insightful nature.
The latest entry of my exploratory summer style odyssey series with accompanying notes & a photo diary of the renewed waterfront district of my adopted hometown.
