hristmas is nigh upon us ladies and gentlemen, a truly joyous occasion that — for those who celebrate/revel in it — bookends what has essentially been a near-month celebration replete with all manner of yuletide affairs, dashing through the snow, gift shopping, family reunions and culinary indulgences. |
As such, I felt (festively) compelled to pony up a few — five to be precise — refined outfit recommendations that each respectfully espouse upon what to wear this upcoming Christmas morning, day and evening. Extending well beyond the cliched perennially louche leisurewear confines of t-shirts, joggers and onesies/ugly novelty sweaters, these rakish looks are primed to live up to a variety of discerning sartorial palettes whilst also ensuring your peak comfort levels never wane.
But, why bother dressing up on Christmas you may ask?
I'd argue because you simply owe it to yourself to look your finest come the big day given you have otherwise gone above and beyond in your quest to finding the perfect gifts as well as in bringing not only cherished family (culinary/nostalgic) traditions to life but all those you love together to celebrate in the spirit of the season as one— don't let your style be the only checkmark left unfulfilled as it were.
My point being is that dressing up will bring a true sense of occasion to the event whilst serving as a beacon of self respect as well as a most becoming gesture of good will to all those whom you love that (if truth be told) deserve the added sartorial effort (even if they would never expect nor demand it of you).
With that ideal squarely in mind, what you will find below are five inspirational ensembles that deliver an equality of style and substance (i.e. comfort) in spades erstwhile tabling something for most any discerning taste from the debonair sartorialist through the modern prep — and from Christmas sunrise to sunset.
All that I imagine is left is for you to sort out is bringing together your loved ones and perhaps a mug of hot chocolate (or a festive libation/coffee/tea of your choosing) before you rakishly saunter about on route to sitting comfortably astride that resplendent Christmas tree whilst wearing (with confidence) what best tickles your fancy (as well as that of all onlookers) this Christmas before you begin to doll out presents to one-and-all.
Merry Christmas!
